Man cuts his nose to survive

Old Klang Road- Ramakrishnan Anandan, 27, saved his life by cutting his nose off. Reptile hunter, Ramakrishnan encountered with a 12 m length of king cobra behind a temple yesterday (27/3/2012). With lots of excitement, he brought his hand forward to catch this incredibly dangerous snake. In a blink of eye, the king cobra bites his nose with its sharp fangs.
Ramakrishnan who knew about the toxicity of its venom had only two choices either die due to blood

poisoned or removes the poison by cutting his nose off. Without wasting much time, he quickly grabbed a razor

knife from his bag and cut his nose off. He then hospitalized himself at Taman Desa Medical Centre

(TDMC).He is now out of danger but sill under medication. Unfortunately, the huge king cobra glided through

its way out of the incident area. Yet, fire fighters are still searching for the snake as it might cause danger and

fatal to the residents.
